Jaatho – Coffee Table

This coffee table was created for a guest house for a hydropower project as part of the interior design project. It situated in a hill top with abundant stones around. The idea was to create a memorable piece of part from the locally sourced stone and use it for a renewed purposed.

The stone was skillfully sturned into a working model of Hathe-Jaatho (Hand operated grinder). The interesting part is that it is a perfect replica of usable grinder. One can actually use it to grind flours if it was not ment for a coffee table. Beautiful legs were given to this table which could carry the weight of this stone.
